OU Endorsed:
Kosher Mezuzah's STaM process, covering how our scrolls are written, checked, and handled, operates under Orthodox Union oversight.
Traceability:
Your mezuzah arrives new and sealed with a unique QR code. Scan it to see who wrote your scroll, who examined it, when it was written, and when it is next due for checking.
About the Ashkenaz Beis Yosef script:
The Beis Yosef script follows the letter forms described by the Beis Yosef and is the custom in Lithuanian, Yekke, and many other Ashkenazi kehillos. If your family follows an Ashkenazi minhag, this is usually the right choice.
Sizes and fit:
We measure the height of the parchment. The 4.7 in (12 cm) scroll fits most rooms and standard cases; the 5.9 in (15 cm) scroll suits a main entrance or a larger case. If you already own a case, measure its inside height before ordering.
Levels of hiddur:
Every scroll we sell is fully kosher at every level. Higher levels reflect greater beauty, precision, and consistency in the calligraphy, a way of beautifying the mitzvah, not a difference in kashrus.
Affixing a mezuzah fulfills the mitzvah of וּכְתַבְתָּם עַל מְזוּזוֹת בֵּיתֶךָ וּבִשְׁעָרֶיךָ (Devarim 6:9).
